The problem with Happisburgh is not so much how to pronounce the name but how much of it is sadly disappearing between visits. Over time coastal erosion has caused the cliffs to crumble into the sea and cottages that once looked secure many yards from the cliff edge are suddenly precariously perched on its edge. However, it remains a delightful village with some remarkable buildings.

The famous red and white striped lighthouse remains a distinctive feature.
I suspect that this cottage is no longer with us
I do not believe the pond is still there but its location can be established by the distictive houses on The Street
