What we do

We love living in Norwich and not only enjoy researching and documenting projects but also being able to share our work. We are the first to admit that we are more "enthusiasts" than historians and although we set ourselves high standards believe that such activity should be fun. As a team we can each work to our strengths which allows us to present our work in a variety of media i.e book format, the websites, presentations and by film.

Our Background.
Michael has lived in Norwich all of his life, Frances arrived in 1983 for a year but could never find a good enough reason to leave! After a career in IT, Michael is the techie whilst Frances' background, involving links with both the corporate and voluntary sectors, is used to good effect in organising and researching. We both particularly enjoy meeting and working with a huge range of people from many different backgrounds and helping to preserve and promote Norwich's rich heritage.

Future Plans

Over the last nine years or so we have written five books and developed several large websites, but in 2018 have decided to take a slightly different approach. We will continue to research and publish, information on the City's heritage but this will be done as shorter online articles. These will be produced in the same format as our various books, and will be free to download and print. We will also be releasing some video work, which will be added to YouTube.

To ensure you receive our releases as they are published, simply subscribe to our mailing list (see home page). Alternatively, after been somewhat lax on the social media front, we will also be making more use of Twitter and Facebook to publicise our ongoing work.
