Orford Place to Castle Meadow Cut Through

It soon became apparent to planners devising the City’s tram network that it was essential to establish a direct link between Red Lion Street (via Orford Place) and Castle Meadow. Few would argue with the proposition, but there was just one small problem – buildings block the route between Red Lion Street and the Castle Ditches – but not for long.
