Eileen Carver Remembers

Most of us lead pretty humdrum lives not wishing to get involved with the machinations of the powers that be. Occasionally major events touch us fleetingly and swiftly pass us by. It is only when we look back that sometimes we realise that we have all lived through exciting times. This month’s short article describes some of the life and times of a lady who never thought she was anything but ordinary. In fact Eileen was part of that special generation that saw us through WWII and the major social changes that followed. Many events touched her life and we were glad to record a life of an ordinary person in extraordinary times.
