Punch Bowl
The Punch Bowl, 37, Market Place, was first licensed in 1763 (it may have been trading before this date).
It was closed under compensation in 1922 and in Geroge Plunkett's photograph, taken in 1934, you can see Alf Jacobs is trading here as a grocer. In later years it was absorbed by its neighbour, which in 2010 is still trading as the well known local public house: The Sir Garnet Wolseley
